If your photos aren’t in focus, don’t panic.
Most of the time, it’s not your camera.
It’s one of five simple things.
I recently revisited this topic because I see it come up again and again — especially with beginners. Before you blame your gear, check these:
Are you accidentally in manual focus?
Are you shooting in very low light and the lens is hunting?
Is your shutter speed too slow?
Are you misunderstanding aperture and depth of field?
Are you using the wrong focus mode?
Each one is easy to fix once you understand it.
One of the biggest “aha” moments for many photographers is realizing that blur isn’t always bad focus — sometimes it’s motion blur or shallow depth of field doing exactly what you told the camera to do.
Understanding that difference changes everything.
