We’ll be meeting at the pavilion near the HVL Ballfields on Wednesday the 20th at 6:00 PM. Bring your camera, comfortable walking shoes, and get ready to explore the trails with fellow photographers.
Since the insects are making their seasonal comeback, don’t forget your favorite bug spray so you can enjoy the walk comfortably. I’ll bring some extra in case anyone forgets.
Feel free to share this email with others that may want to join.
Before any photo walk, here’s a quick checklist that can save frustration later:
Photo Walk Checklist
Camera - yes, it needs to be on the list
If you have more than one lens choose what you want to carry
Fully charged camera batteries
Extra battery if you have one
Plenty of free space on your memory card
Microfiber cloth
Comfortable clothing and walking shoes
Bug spray
Water bottle
Optional: zoom lens or macro lens for wildlife and flowers
There’s always something interesting to photograph along the trails this time of year — wildflowers, insects, textures, birds, mushrooms, and changing light.
Here are a few photos from my backyard that you’ll likely find inspiration from on the trails as well.
