If you're ready to move beyond Auto mode but aren't sure where to begin, I have one recommendation:
Switch to Aperture Priority mode.
It's one of the most commonly used camera modes by professional photographers because it gives you creative control without making photography complicated.
Here's the simple setup:
Set your camera to Aperture Priority (A or Av).
Set your ISO to Auto.
Choose the aperture you want, and your camera will automatically select the shutter speed and ISO for you.
That's it.
You get control over depth of field while your camera handles the rest. It's an easy first step that will help you create better photos without feeling overwhelmed.
Challenge for this week: Switch to Aperture Priority and leave Auto mode behind. I think you'll be surprised how quickly your confidence grows.
