Hi everyone,

Some weeks are busy. Some weeks are exhausting.

So instead of a long lesson today, I’ve got something simple for you.

📸 This Week’s Photo Task:

Photograph ONE subject using three different shutter speeds.

That’s it.

Find something simple:

  • A walking person

  • Leaves blowing in the wind

  • Water running from a faucet

  • A pet moving around

Put your camera in Shutter Priority (Tv on Canon, and “S” on most of the other cameras). Take the same photo at:

  • 1/50

  • 1/500

  • 1/1000 (or faster if needed)

Then compare them.

Ask yourself:

  • Which one feels sharpest?

  • Which one feels more dynamic?

  • Did motion blur improve or hurt the image?

You’ll learn more from this 15-minute exercise than from watching another hour of videos.

Have fun with it this week.

Getting better One Photo at a Time,
Doug
